School of Agriculture Best Worker Award Ceremony

The School of Agriculture in 2021 established the School of Agriculture Best Worker Awards Scheme to identify and honour selected Staff for their outstanding contributions to the School. The Award is sponsored by the Departments, Alumni and friends of the School. The Best Worker Award is primarily aimed to give the School an opportunity to recognize exemplary performance by staff identified by their Supervisors and Colleagues as having consistently excelled in their positions and demonstrated Hard work, Dedication, Integrity, Loyalty, Respect and a strong Commitment to the mission of the School and the University.  The School has in the past organized its annual ‘End of Year Time with the Dean’ which normally brought together staff of its constituent units for familiarization purposes.

On Wednesday December 22, 2021, the School had a three-in-one activity to crown the end of the year-long School’s activities: End of Year time with the Dean, Best Worker Awards Ceremony and the 8th Alumni Passing Through Presentation delivered by the Dr. Joseph K. Essibu, Chief Executive Officer of Ideal College.

The programme was attended by officials of the College of Basic and Applied Sciences, Heads of Department in the School, past Deans of the School, immediate past School Administrator, Staff and students. Participants joined the Alumni Passing Through presentation and had the opportunity to engage with the Presenter in his area of specialty after an insightful presentation on the theme: Becoming a Transformational Leader, the Journey so far. This was followed by the End of Year Time with the Dean and Best Worker Awards Ceremony. A total of twenty (20) staff in both the Senior and Junior staff category were honoured with cash prices, certificates of honour and gift hampers.
