School of Agriculture Celebrates 2023 National Service Personnel Week

In 2022, the Office of the Dean, School of Agriculture introduced the School of Agriculture National Service Personnel Week with the aim of creating a platform for National Service Personnel in the School of Agriculture to build personal and professional competence through various educational and fun activities. The program started with about 80 service personnel in 2022 and continued with about 60 national service personnel in the 2023 edition. The theme for the 2023 NSP Week Celebration was “Harnessing the Potential of the Agricultural-Trained Youth for National Development.”In 2022, the Office of the Dean, School of Agriculture introduced the School of Agriculture National Service Personnel Week with the aim of creating a platform for National Service Personnel in the School of Agriculture to build personal and professional competence through various educational and fun activities. The 2023 program aimed to accomplish the following basic objectives:

  1. Promote healthy environment for personal and business success
  2. Build competence in research poster design and presentation
  3. Enhance Professional skills development

The success of the 2023 edition of the UG SOA NSP Week Celebration is attributed to the dedication and commitment of the Dean, School Administrator, NSP Coordinator, NSS Week Committee and Senior Members of the School of Agriculture. The National Service Personnel including continuing students who joined in some sessions of the program, particularly the poster presentation session, expressed their excitement and asked that the program be organized every year.
