RESEARCH OVERVIEW

The School of Agriculture (SOA) is deeply involved in several research activities using the expertise of its faculty, students and staff as well as its laboratories and research centres to push the frontiers of relevant research in agriculture. The aim, among others, is to ensure sustainable and ethical agricultural practices while enhancing efficiency and productivity in a manner that makes agricultural products accessible to all. The school is also keen on research that helps in the reduction of post harvest losses and improvement in food security in Ghana and beyond while creating jobs for the teeming Ghanaian youth. SOA faculty have published individual and collaborative research activities in several in peer reviewed journals and continue to provide expert advice and support to the agricultural industry in Ghana and Africa. SOA continues to position itself as a leader in innovative agricultural research to engage its stakeholders and partners nationally and internationally for mutually beneficial collaborative research in line with the University of Ghana’s mandate and strategic objectives.

OAK Foundation, we foster innovation, joint research, and academic exchange that drive agricultural transformation and sustainable development worldwide.
